There are a lot of occasions where you have to use a (single) polygon object in order to pull off an effect/function. With the new correction deformer in R12 this is now possible without converting your object, as it works as a polygonal instance of your original object. If you want to use whole setups – sweep-nurbs for example, just use a connect object, refer to your setup and drop your correction deformer under the connect object.
