My second take at the Jiggle Deformer:
The Jiggle Deformer is a very powerful deformer which creates springs around the vertices of your object, this results in delayed/wobbling motion as soon as you move your geometry around. You could also describe it as a vertices delayer.
There are a couple of parameters which are somewhat self explanatory. You can restrict/multiply these parameters by vertex maps, so I thought I’ll give it a go with my light based vertex map gizmo (Quick Tip 15) and dropped it into the stiffness, drag and gravity map slot. As soon as you move your gizmo around, the geometry starts to behave clothlike, as now the parameters have been given a falloff. I guess this deserves some experimentation time, don’t you think? ;-) (no audio)
