DEM Earth 4 mac has been updated to version 4.601. Includes builds from R20 to 26

Vector Pro 3 WIN has been updated to version 3.269. Includes builds from R20 to 2023.

Voxygen 3 beta, with lidar module has been updated to version 3.120, and  can be downloaded from the discord server.

Full function demos are available for both Vector pro 3, voxygen and BakeNShake.

The scene shown, represents all the major counties of Bavaria, Germany, and a lot of smaller districts.  This is just 549 objects, and 217k polygons.

The objects, and geometry where built using a new, custom loader plugin, and DEM Earth.  The loader imports, an unlimited number of borders, with shocking ease, and sets them up perfectly for C4D  for optimal, fast and flexible usage. I used mograph to juggle them up a bit, and the shading is done via my Ninja color shader. These scenes could be made to work perfectly well, with any application, with just a few clicks.

This Bavaria scene, is a very small example of what I can now achieve in C4D with minimal effort. It is now possible to polygonize the borders of every village,town,county,state or continent  on this planet. Either a single district, or an entire continent.  This is quite unique, and very powerful. IMO, there is no other tool in existence that can do what this does, with this of ease of use.

Improved – sloppy texture updating in editor on child objects when stacking multiple dem earth objects.
Added – Rounding setting. This lets you turn the good old square dem earth, into a round dem earth.

The download process is now managed by a nice cart system. you just place a plugin in the cart, and checkout, as if you where going to buy it, without being charged. It’s all free.

The collage shader has now been added as a freebie. This is amazing shader, proved very difficult to sell. So I decided to stop selling it publicly. It cost me more to support, than I could ever earn with it. So, it is now completely free to download and use.

•  Improved – Strata.

I changed the way the Strata is built in preparation for  any shape, outline. not just a simple grid. the new method is much more robust and will work for any shape.

•  Added – Support for registered student versions of Cinema4D.

Previously it was not possible to support the free student version of C4D because of the lack of any 11 numbers. this has been resolved and students can now purchase and use DEM Earth, with a discount. Contact support for details.

•  Fixed – Binding issues. Separate objects line up perfectly.

In previous versions, there where problems matching multiple DEM Earths together. There was a difference in the north south offset, meaning you could not match things up  as well as you may want to. This has been fully resolved.

•  Added – Handles for length and width.

Better interaction with handles. More to come…

•  Added – Separate Width / Height settings, with best fit subdivision.

You can now modify both width and height separately. The subdivision method has been improved to try to maintain square subdivisions over both axis.

•  Improved – World.meter unit (this is the world scale multiplier from C4D space to real world space)

Some internal simplification produces a more accurate value. Multiply any  real world meter value by this number, to get a C4D meter value.

•  Improved – Significantly improved geo-referencing accuracy.
